City Girl, Country Boy who knew?
Getting ready for the day.
I moved to Atlanta to teach three years ago. It was definitely a faith leap! I didn't know where I was going to live, I was leaving everything like family and friends back in New York and I didn't even know the neighborhood statistics where I would teach. Crazy faith!! I didn't have time for planning. God opened the door and I drove through it with my little red Fiat. I didn't know much about the men in Atlanta only some were known to be undercover, in the closet kinda brothers. Hey, that's what I heard. So I was mindful and conscious to be on the lookout.
But they say when you are focused on your career that's when it happens. He stepped right into my life or classroom unexpectantly. He's a teacher too. How convenient! Oh how God works!
Red Georgia clay bred, Bronx, New York thread. One takes it easy the other on the run to the next appointment on her list. Nature sensitivity crosses street wise awareness. You would think what business do they have together? But God knows what he is doing. He continued my life long adventure in this man. This man teaches me patience, he turns my head back to creation and I give him spice, spontaneity, suspense! He is my man and I am his lady. I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with any other fella. He is my country boy and I'm his city chick. We are not meant to change each other but learn and glean from the regions that represent us. God's little girl has grown up and got herself married! Strange yet wonderful!
Take a lesson from the teacher:
God will lead you to where you need to be no matter how far you have to travel if give him your heart (inside there is a thing called trust).
Faith will take you there. Drive, skip, hop, cartwheel into the door God unlocks for your destiny. Be Fearless. Be Open minded and take that risk. It's so good on the other side.
Forever a New Yorker, Yankee true; attracted to
Georgia open skies and
one sweet natured God fearing Guy.
Until next time,
