WISDOM WEDNESDAY ....

But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits. Psalm 5:11

NYC all winter long!!!

NYC all winter long!!!

This feels like the longest winter ever! I amost forget how summer feels with all the slush and inches deep snow, snow plows and exhausted car engines struggling to get out of a trapped spot. What's wrong with humans hibernating? I don't have a problem with it. Do you? Maybe you like the snow. The beauty is in the view, its pretty as a picture, but when you have to trek through it...no fun.

Whether you find it difficult weathering the endless storm outside your window or inside your heart there is a comforter. God says we should look to him for strength because this is where joy hides. It's a cool game of hide and seek. Seek and you shall find. Go beyond the daily grind to be joyful.  Ask: How can I find joy in everyday life? It's there if you look for it... If we rest under the shadow of the Almighty we will have peace in any season: sunny, cloudy, or hail.

When our heart is breaking, when we suffer disappointment after diasppointment when we open bill after bill don't fret, don't lose control, give it to God. He will hide you under the cover, he has room for you in the secret place, and he beckons you.. "Come closer, you're too far away." When you come closer you will feel his presence, you will hear his voice and be at peace. People will wonder why you are so smiley when they are at their wits end. We can't control the weather, we can't control people's attitudes, we can't control the time that seems to sped ahead but we do have control over how much time we spend with God. He delights in us... He's almighty. He's powerful. He's all knowing. He's in control of everything. He's awesome and he delights in us....He wants to coat you with an extra blanket of grace to weather the storm. In due time your new seaon will spring up :)

 BE BLESSED!
